Sunday Morning Worship1st
– 4th Graders
Kid's for Christ works to establish the foundational elements of living your life for Christ. We are selecting six Sundays during
the year when kids will be actively involved in worship leadership and
participation for the whole service at 9:30. The first three dates are
October 10, November 14, December 12. Other dates
will be
announced. Preparation for children's involvement in worship
will happen on Sunday mornings during their Sunday school time.
In addition children will be involved 9:30 worship on occasional Sundays for specific time periods when they can experience something that they are learning about, i.e. baptism, communion, Lord's Prayer, Bible presentations, or other intergenerational experiences. Please note: The children will no longer be coming to the first part of 9:30 worship in the Sanctuary and they will not be attending the full service on the first Sunday of the month. Family Time a. Once a month parents are invited to join their children for a mini worship experience in CMC 204 including a time of praising God, hearing a Bible story, a prayer time, and other activities followed by refreshments. b. On second Sundays between services children will be brought to Fellowship Hall from their Sunday morning classes just before the conclusion of the 9:30 service for special breakfast treats. This is a great time to get to know other families in the church. c. We will also be offering special joint child/parent mini classes like Bible Detectives, the Presbyterian Children's Catechism, and classes introducing understandable concepts of human sexuality, etc. Watch for more details.
