Bible Study


First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame offers many ways to explore the Bible and grow in your faith. We offer weekly classes as well as have many community groups available for personal growth. If you are interested in joining a community group (small group) please contact Rev. Linda Galligan.

Weekly Bible Studies include:

Pastor's Bible Study - Our Tuesday morning Bible class has been led by Dr. Watermulder for over 20 years. You are invited to join this fall for weekly study of scripture with fellow church members and friends of all ages. The class runs from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room. The class time includes prayer and discussion as well as a lesson based on the scriptures for the day. Each week we explore the way the gospels have been written to equip each of us to handle the problems and opportunities we face as Christ followers. This class presents a study of the Bible texts of the day and a background on them and presentation on their meanings. Bring a Bible, a pen, and a friend! Bible Study with Dave - Our popular resident Biblical scholar and theologian, Dave Crosatto, begins another season of teaching and sharing the Bible at the home of Deb Concklin. This is an open group although space is limited. If you would like to join us, please call or email Deb at 375-1191. All of our sessions are on Tuesdays from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at the Concklin home. Our longtime Bible scholar, teacher, parish visitor, and friend, Dave Crosatto, recently suffered an agonizing health crisis through which he barely survived. Many of us faithfully visited him during this time just as he had so faithfully visited us, our loved ones, friends, and shut-ins within the church and community for many years. We were all astonished when Dave managed to recover almost miraculously. As he regained his health, he shared that God had indeed been with him during the time and had moved him with a message to be shared with the church.
