Lay Leadership
The Leadership Development committee is called to identify, develop and
nurture members of our congregation to serve as the lay leadership for
our church-- our elders and deacons. Whether it’s serving
Communion on Sunday, helping to guide and shape our youth ministries,
visiting those of us who are sick or in need of support, using
financial and business skills to make sure our funds will support our
missions, or many other “behind the scenes” acts of
kindness and service, lay leaders are crucial to fulfilling
God’s
vision for us as a community of believers.
The committee members will be looking for people willing to share their
talents with the church as leaders. So if you should get a call from
one of us this fall, don’t think of it as just a call from
Grace
or Bob, or Dick or Pat…think of it as God knocking on your
door
and consider opening it to serve him and his church in this special
way. If you or someone you know in the congregation feels called to
serve in this way, please let us know. We look forward to talking with
you .
