On a Pastoral note...
Christ’s
passion for the world and for bringing good news to those who struggle
with their lives is such good news to us. Surely you have noticed
our church’s resurgence of commitment to (and enjoyment of) being
involved in hands-on outreach to others in Jesus’ name. I
pray that you find a way to reach beyond our church family to speak of
Jesus Christ and the good power of His love, mercy and justice this
week. Telling others that there is good news at hand is probably
the greatest way you and I can show Christ our love for Him.

Coming Soon to at Theater Near You - May 18
Sometime
in the early-to-mid afternoon of Sunday May 18th Pastors Beth Frykberg
and Henry Hansen will host us to watch The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince
Caspian in downtown San Mateo. This is a great opportunity to
have an intergenerational experience and also to enjoy time dining
together afterward to talk about how movies relate to our lives in a
faith and culture dialog. If you and/or a friend or family
members would like to attend contact jsherfy@burlpres.org or call Jane Sherfy at the church office #230 to indicate number of tickets that will be purchased by our pastors.
