2012 Women's Retreats

This year FPCB is offering two types of Women's Retreats. There will be a Friday/Saturday retreat offered at FPCB as well as a Friday-Sunday retreat hosted by Mt. Hermon at their retreat center.
Frazzled to Fabulous: Celebration of Women - March 2-3
Save the Date: Friday Night, March 2 and Saturday, March 3 for Frazzled to Fabulous: Celebration of Women. Ready for some "me" time away from your hectic, crazy busy life? Then join us at FPCB for an uplifting weekend of food, fun and fellowship with other Christian women. Author and speaker Jane Rubietta will lift your spirits and inspire your soul with her tools for sane soul care in a frantic world. On a Pastoral note...

I invite you to a Town Hall Meeting at 12:15 on Sunday, Feb. 12, in the sanctuary. There is a new network of evangelical Presbyterians (Fellowship of Presbyterians) who recently spawned a new denomination (Evangelical Covenant Order), and I would like to lead a brief discussion about them, our denomination, and our future as Presbyterians. You are invited!

30 Hour Famine ~ Feb. 24-25

In solidarity with the hungry of our world, our youth ministry is participating in World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine. We’re going without food for 30 hours in order to experience hunger and raise money on behalf of World Vision. Here’s how you can helpPray. Practice a prayerful awareness on behalf of our church’s youth before and during the Famine. Even more, use prayerful awareness to engage the global huger crisis and those who will miss a meal today. Volunteer. Become a partner in doing a ‘justice mission’ with a group from FPCB. Give. Sponsor a teenager doing the Famine for $1 per hour.  Every $30 raised feeds a child for one month.

Nursery School Pancake Breakfast - Feb 25

SAVE THE DATE!! On Saturday, February 25, FPCB’s Nursery School will hold their 4th Annual Pancake Breakfast benefiting the Nursery School. Everyone is welcome to attend! Tickets are available in the N.S. 100 Days of Prayer
Sunday is Day 29 in our hundred days of prayer.  Are you finding thoughtfulness and perspective from the daily readings?  I am!  Please consider coming to the January meeting for those reading through the prayer book for a chance to talk together and consider how God is changing our lives through this experience.
You are invited to join your fellow church members in reflection and small group discussion on the subject of prayer. There will be three opportunities this month to share with others your insights and/or your difficulties about your time alone with God:
Sunday, Jan 22 at 9:30 &
11 a.m. in the Upper Room
Wednesday, Jan 25 at 5 p.m. in the Upper Room
